The British Institute of Homeopathy was founded by Dr. Trevor Cook in London, England, in 1987.

Intent on furthering the practice of Homeopathy internationally, the BIH teaches Homeopathy according to the principles developed by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, founder of Homeopathy, without losing sight and understanding of the various modern approaches.

The Irish branch has been in existence for some years and is starting now in 2010 with a new School Director. BIH Ireland is now developing further its courses, training modalities, research activities and clinical support with the intent of creating a foundamental and professional support to those who studied with us at one time or another and to our future students. We continue to do our best in building a strong and active alumni.

Homeopathic education is no longer limited by geographic boundaries. Our students are in 80 countries and our excellent instructors live in 20 countries. Online education allows you to learn from the best homeopathic training without ever leaving home.

The education offered at the School is of the highest standard, with one of the most comprehensive Homeopathic programmes. In our residentail courses smaller class sizes allow for close interaction between teachers and students and there are excellent facilities for students.

Everyone capitalizes on the power of technology to access course materials, attend seminars, and network through our online student / tutor community which consists of study groups, bulletin boards / forums, and of course email.

Coursesistance courses at the School operate under an Open University style system, giving students flexibility in planning their study to suit their lifestyle. A wide variety of courses are offered, including Advanced Diploma and Diploma for professional qualifications and modules for general interest or personal growth. To assist students who have work commitments, lectures are held wherever possible in the evenings or at weekends. It is recommended that prospective students make an appointment with our friendly staff who will assist you in planning an individual study program.

All courses have as their underlying philosophy the concept that Nature provides the tools for healing; the aim of natural therapies being to strive to stimulate the body’s own healing energies using these tools of nature.

The Institute has developed a worldwide reputation, and there are over 11,000 students in over 75 countries who have successfully completed their studies, or are presently studying courses in Homeopathy, Aromatherapy, Herbology, Nutrition, Human Sciences, and other complementary therapies. Experienced Practitioners and Teachers provide personal quality tutoring by distance learning through mail and Internet, as well as classroom study to students around the world.

All of the staff at The British Institute of Homeopathy are working to make your studies with this Institute a rewarding and fulfilling experience.

BIH Ireland is the representative of British Institute of Homeopathy in Republic of Ireland and The British Institute of Homeopathy International is the headquarters.
